Safety, Health and Wellbeing
Parents need to know that their child is safe, healthy and cared for at school. This page explains the systems, people and policies Dr. SSNPS has in place.
Security on campus
- CCTV surveillance, 24×7: cameras cover key areas of the campus around the clock.
- Controlled, biometric access: entry to school buildings is controlled, with biometric access.
- Visitor rules: visitors follow the school's visitors policy and campus entry rules.
- Restricted items: students and visitors may not bring items that could cause harm. Mobile phones and outside electronic devices are not allowed beyond designated points.
Fire and emergency safety
- A fire-safety system with smoke detectors
- A public-address (PA) system for emergency announcements across the campus
- Clear procedures under the school's safe-school policy

Health care
- Infirmary: the school's health centre is open throughout the school day with a qualified nurse. Necessary first aid and care are given, and each child's health information is kept up to date in school records.
- Clean water and hygiene: RO-purified drinking water and modern toilets, including accessible toilets.
- Accessibility: a lift and specially-abled toilets help children and visitors with mobility needs.

Emotional wellbeing and counselling
Children learn best when they feel safe and understood. The school has:
- A student counsellor and special educator, who gives students a confidential space to talk through academic, social and personal challenges, and works with teachers and parents
- A wellness officer, who leads wellbeing programmes on emotional, mental and physical health, including stress management and healthy habits
- A career counsellor, who helps older students understand career options and the admission procedures for courses in India and abroad
- Mentoring through "Snacks with Mentor", where each mentor meets a small group of five students regularly
Special assemblies and workshops address age-appropriate topics such as personal safety (good touch and bad touch), health and hygiene, dental health, peer pressure and, for older students, pubertal changes and menstrual hygiene.

- Child protection, sexual harassment and safeguarding policy
