Dr. SSNPS (Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa National Public School) is a co-educational, English-medium day school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, under Affiliation No. 831760. The school opened in 2022 on a purpose-built campus behind Bapuji Bank Samudhaya Bhavan at MBA Ground, SS Layout. It is run by Bapuji Educational Association, which was established in Davanagere in 1958.
Our teaching follows the National Curriculum Framework and is aligned with the National Education Policy 2020. Our aim is simple: children should understand what they learn, not just memorise it, and grow in confidence and character along the way.
How your child learns at Dr. SSNPS
Lesson plans are activity-based and student-centred. Each one includes a plan for different learners, so children who are ready for more are stretched and those who need more time get it. At the start of the year, parents receive the micro-schedule (what will be taught in each session), the test schedule and the question-paper blueprint.

Life beyond the classroom
Every child belongs to one of four houses: Vishwamitra, Kashyapa, Vashishta and Gautama. Through the houses and the school's clubs (music, dance, theatre, language and literature, art, eco, heritage, entrepreneurship and sports), children take part in competitions, performances and projects all year.
- Sambhram: Dr. SSNPS was named overall champion of Sambhram, the inter-school cultural festival, in 2023 and again in 2K25.
- Davangere Model United Nations (DMUN) 2024: Dr. SSNPS co-hosted the region's first Model United Nations conference with PSSEMR School. It drew more than 300 delegates from 30 institutions.
- SPIC MACAY concerts: Indian classical music and dance performances are held on campus.
