Laboratories at Dr. SSNPS

Students understand ideas better when they can test them with their own hands. Dr. SSNPS has separate laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, geography and languages, three Computer Science labs and a Robotics & AI lab, so practical work is part of regular lessons rather than an occasional demonstration.

Our laboratories

Physics lab

Students measure, observe and record: working with forces, light, electricity and magnetism, and learning to set up an experiment, take readings and explain the results.

Chemistry lab

Students carry out experiments under supervision, learning to handle apparatus and chemicals safely, observe reactions carefully and connect what they see to the theory in their textbooks.

Biology lab

Microscopes, specimens and models help students study cells, plants, the human body and living things around them.

Mathematics lab

Hands-on materials make abstract ideas concrete: shapes, measurement, fractions, patterns and geometry. Students learn by building, measuring and testing.

Geography lab

Maps, globes and models help students understand landforms, climate and the world around them.

Language lab

A dedicated space for listening and speaking practice that strengthens pronunciation, fluency and confidence in using language.

Computer Science labs (three)

Three labs give students regular hands-on computing time: digital skills in the early years, then programming and ICT lessons as they grow. In the design work, students build websites, create multimedia content and write simple software.

Robotics & AI lab

A dedicated space for the grade-wise robotics programme, where students build and program models. Explore the Robotics & AI programme

How labs fit into learning

  • Practical work is planned into lesson plans and the year's micro-schedule, so lab sessions are regular.
  • Students learn to record observations, analyse results and explain what they found: skills tested in CBSE examinations.
  • Labs are supervised by teachers, and the campus has a fire-safety system and smoke detectors.

Frequently asked questions

Does the school have separate physics, chemistry and biology labs?

Yes. Physics, Chemistry and Biology each have their own lab.

How many computer labs are there?

Three Computer Science labs, as well as a Robotics & AI lab.

From which class do students use the labs?

Computer and robotics sessions begin in the primary years, and science labs are used increasingly through the middle and secondary classes.
