Leaping to Victory: Hurdle and Sack Race Competitions at Dr. SS National Public School Davanagere

On the 16th of October 2024, Dr. SS National Public School Davanagere hosted an exciting interhouse competition for students from Grades 1 to 5. The event, filled with enthusiasm and competitive spirit, featured two thrilling activities: the Hurdle Race for younger students and the Sack Race for older ones. Both races provided a fun and engaging opportunity for students to showcase their athletic abilities while promoting teamwork, discipline, and a sense of achievement.

Grades 1, 2, and 3: Hurdle Race

Students from Grades 1, 2, and 3 participated in the Hurdle Race, showcasing their agility, coordination, and speed. The young athletes were required to jump over a series of hurdles to reach the finish line, and they completed the challenge with remarkable determination. The students’ excitement was evident as they cheered each other on, motivating their peers to give their best. This event not only tested their physical endurance but also fostered a sense of teamwork and encouragement among the participants.

Grades 4 and 5: Sack Race

For students in Grades 4 and 5, the Sack Race became the highlight of the day. The participants had to wear sacks and hop to the finish line without dropping their sacks. The race was filled with laughter, excitement, and lots of competitive energy, as students tried their best to navigate the challenge. The sight of students hopping across the field, determined to finish first, created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for both participants and spectators.
